Technical Assistance for the Daures Green Hydrogen Project, Namibia
The Daures Green Hydrogen Project is a joint development of the Daures Green Hydrogen Consortium led by Enersense Energy Namibia (Pty) Ltd. that envisages the construction of 1 GW of renewable power (solar and wind) to produce green hydrogen in a phased approach. Fichtner has been appointed as technical assistant to the project under a framework agreement. The first task consisted of a strategic workshop intended to structure the different phases of the project, investigating ammonia production options and logistical considerations among others. Fichtner then completed a pre-feasibility study for the project, while in parallel assisted in the implementation of a pilot plant. The project has now advanced past Pre-Feasibility Study phase and Fichtner is currently conducting Basic Engineering and performing preparations for the Pre-FEED as a next step.
