Owner’s Engineer (OE) for Methanol-to-Gasoline plant based on green hydrogen, Chile
Fichtner was commissioned by a developer from South America to provide owner’s engineering services for the Pre-FEED study of a Power-to-eFuels plant prepared by a European contractor. The plant was intended to use electricity generated by a nearby renewable energy facility to produce hydrogen. The required CO₂ was to be captured in a biomass power plant and mixed with the produced hydrogen to synthesize methanol in a methanol synthesis unit. Subsequently, the methanol was to be further upgraded in an MtG (Methanol-to-Gasoline) plant to produce climate-neutral fuels such as gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
