Planning services for a hydrogen refueling station, Iceland
The client, a development company, is focusing on the production and distribution of green hydrogen to power local heavy-duty transport. Fichtner is supporting them with the development of a green hydrogen value chain based on renewable energy from an existing geothermal power plant, a PEM electrolyzer to pro-duce hydrogen with storage and delivery to refueling stations as well as operating hydrogen trucks as buses. For preparing the commercialization of the project at full scale, the client seeks to start the operation of several heavy-duty hydrogen vehicles and therefore wants to set up a heavy-duty hydrogen station, for which they themself have identified potential locations. Fichtner is elaborating the technical concept with a focus on the hydrogen filling system and is setting up a technical specification document for interaction with potential system suppliers.
