Due diligence of two electrolysis plants, Germany
Fichtner advised Strabag on two hydrogen projects in Germany and the Netherlands. Strabag commissioned Fichtner to carry out due diligence based on Fichtner’s proven review methodology. The project in the Netherlands involved a two-phase due diligence as part of the conceptual engineering phase for electrolyzers with capacities of 120 MW and 200 MW, both of which were planned to be supplied with energy from the power grid. The project in northern Germany involved a two-phase due diligence as part of the pre-feasibility phase for electrolyzers with capacities of 400 MW and 800 MW, which were also planned to be supplied with energy from the power grid. Fichtner prepared a red-flag report for Strabag, highlighting critical risks. In addition, the Fichtner team conducted further due diligence, reviewed key project aspects, prepared detailed reports, and contributed to a question-and-answer log.
