Decarbonization is one of the goals that many countries have set for 2050. To achieve this, the conversion of renewable electricity to hydrogen and its derivates is an important component of the global efforts to mitigate climate change. Power-to-X technology can support national renewable energy objectives, enhance economic development by reducing the exposure to raw materials (ammonia) price volatility and supply disruptions while also lowering agricultural sector costs and government expenditures for subsidizing fertilizers. Fichtner is tasked with providing a technical, economic and market study on green hydrogen and/or derivatives production.​
